Where would you put it?

Most furniture stays still. We design the opposite: pieces built to move, so the same space can serve a different moment.

Folded stainless steel

One continuous shell of 304, brushed by hand. Each corner is the sheet itself bending on a press brake, not two pieces joined.

Two bays, one concealed

One open to view. One closed on every side. The narrow bay rolls out and stands on its own, so it can go wherever it’s needed.

Rolls out. Locks in place.

Industrial casters, locking where you leave them. Move it from the bed to the sofa to the desk, and it holds steady wherever it stops.

Monica & Jaime, Founders

Made in Toronto

Monica and Jaime, the two founders of Fluid, walking hand in hand across a paved plaza, a curved concrete building and two towers behind them

We started Fluid because we wanted furniture that keeps up with how we actually live. Pieces that move with you and do more than one job, without giving up anything in design. We couldn't find them, so we started making them, beginning with our own home.

Monica is an architect who has always been drawn to furniture. Fluid is the second furniture company she has started, and she designs every piece.

Jaime is an engineer who has spent the last ten years building products, as a founder and for startups.
